The Ragamuffin '54

On July 14, 2017, I bought a 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air.  I quickly realized there are essentially two very different reactions to the car.  The first questions the responsibility of purchasing a vehicle that runs, but leaks like a sieve, needs quite a bit of exterior/interior work, and eats precious time and financial resources the longer you own it.  The second reaction sees the beauty, regardless of the current condition - in fact, part of its appeal IS its current condition.  The lessons to be learned from this hunk of metal and iron can teach a lot about people and life in general.  Feel free to join the journey and ride along.

Book #1 - Currently Untitled

When the opportunity arose for me to become a painter, I'm not going to lie, I wasn't thrilled about it.  I was moving up the corporate ladder and taking a perceived big step back down wasn't in the plan.  What a fortunate thing that is.  I learned more about life and restoration by painting houses, sweating through my clothes three times a day during the Alabama summers, and coming home looking like the Phantom of the Opera from the paint and dirt on my face.  I decided to write a book about what I've learned as a painter.  It's been a work in progress for a while now, so don't be looking for a release date anytime within the next month or two.  However, I'd love to know if you want a copy when it finally moves over to the Completed Projects section.

Book #2 - Also Currently Untitled

She has been called to return the gift she was given at birth to the king who gave it to her.  It's busted up, worn out, and smells like... it smells really bad.  The king will never accept it in the condition it's in.  However, there's one last chance to fix it - one person who knows what to do, but he's nowhere to be found and she is steps away from the throne.

This book is completed.  I'm still figuring out what to do with it.  Probably need to find a publisher at this point...  Yeah, a publisher would be a good thing.

Book - Lindey Grace Builds the Tallest Tower

I came home from work the other day and my daughter had taken every possible cushion, blanket, stuffed animal, and pillow to build the "tallest tower."  She began to tell me exactly how she did it and I thought more people would benefit from knowing how she did it.  The book is written and we're looking for an animator.  Likely going to self-publish this one.
